About Kevin Murphy

Board-certified as a radiation oncologist, Kevin Murphy, MD, is a longtime San Diego medical practitioner and entrepreneur who leads the practice MindSet and serves as founder and CEO of PeakLogic. Drawing on extensive experience treating central nervous system, brain, and spinal cord tumors, Dr. Murphy established UC San Diego Health’s stereotactic radiosurgery program in 2005.

The PeakLogic team has developed software that enables physicians to deliver personalized repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) treatments. These proprietary PrTMS (it is now a registered trademark) treatments are also utilized by military personnel and achievement-driven athletes seeking peak human performance. Special areas of interest at MindSet include evaluations of PrTMS (now a registered trademark) effectiveness in enhancing focus, sleep, and reaction time.

A veteran of the US Navy, Dr. Murphy served as an engineering officer and was stationed on the USS Ranger (CV 61) aircraft carrier throughout Operations Desert Storm and Desert Shield. After serving in the military, he earned his medical degree at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine and completed a radiation oncology residency at the University of Chicago Medicine.
